DMAS — Electronic Auction Platform
Making complex financial portfolio auctions simple and transparent
Overview
DMAS is the official electronic auction platform of the First Credit Bureau of Kazakhstan. The platform enables banks, financial institutions, and debt collectors to participate in transparent, legally compliant auctions of credit and collateral portfolios. We built it from zero and continue to develop and support it.
The Challenge
Before DMAS, portfolio auctions in Kazakhstan were conducted through fragmented, largely paper-based processes. There was no real-time visibility into bidding, no unified participant verification, and no reliable audit trail. A single auction could drag on for weeks.
The Solution
We built a full-stack auction platform designed for the regulatory and operational realities of the Kazakh financial market. The real-time bidding engine keeps all participants in sync via WebSockets. Participant verification flows handle KYC requirements natively. Every action is logged to an immutable audit trail exportable for regulatory review.
Key Features
- Real-time auction engine with live bid updates via WebSockets
- Participant onboarding with KYC verification and document management
- Multi-role access system: organizer, bidder, observer, regulator
- Immutable audit trail with full export for regulatory submissions
- Automated auction lifecycle: scheduling, opening, closing, result publication
- Secure document vault for portfolio materials shared with verified participants
Results
- Platform live at dmas.kz, used by Kazakhstan's major financial institutions
- Auction cycle time reduced from weeks to 2–3 days
- Full regulatory compliance with Kazakh financial authority requirements
